Small enough to highly personal, yet large enough to offer exceptional educational opportunities. Shepherd’s Grove Academy nurtures the entire child – mind, soul, imagination and body. Outstanding academic training challenges each student’s intellect. Focused Christian values instruction enhances every students character, while SGA’s extensive programs in art, dance, drama, and music provide outlets for creativity. Physical education (as well as a competitive sports program in the upper grades) supplies much needed physical channels for every child’s lively energy. Shepherd’s Grove Academy’s supportive and attentive staff provides a positive, structured and safe community where all students can successfully work and grow to their full potential.

Mission Statement

Shepherd’s Grove Academy exists to educate, equip, and encourage God’s children through academics and the Arts to become positive Christian leaders.

Holy Scripture advises,

“Train up a child in the way he should go,

And when he is old, he will not depart from his ways.” (Proverbs 22:6)

Faith Development

At Shepherd’s Grove Academy we believe that “training a child” requires both classroom instruction and practical experience in turning Bible concepts into real world practice. Teachers model Christian behavior - and expect their students to do so, too! Daily classroom Bible reading and discussion, weekly Chapel worship, and semester-long class mission projects help create teachable moments whereby students learn the principles of Christianity and then put them into meaningful practice. Individual classrooms take turns preparing and presenting Chapel worship services, based upon a school-wide weekly theme. An end-of-the-year “Mission Chapel” assembly shares what each classroom has done to demonstrate Christ’s compassion within the community. SGA students truly do find great joy in service.

Shepherd’s Grove Academy is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and is a proud member of Christian Schools International.
